X-Rings

X-rings, also called quad rings, in NBR 70 Shore A, black, stocked and supplied in Chennai by Raj Trading Corporation. An X-ring has four lobes where an O-ring is round, so it seals on two lips each side, holds lubricant in the pockets between them, and does not roll or twist in its groove. That makes it the better ring for reciprocating and slow rotary duty, with less friction and a lower breakaway than an O-ring. 376 sizes in the AS568 series, from -011 to -932, 2.85 mm to 658.88 mm inside diameter across 12 cross-sections, each fitting the groove of the O-ring with the same AS568 number.
